Future Badrock and Youngblood board the Katellain's ship freeing their captive teammates. The Katellains agree to leave Earth's solar system on the condition that Youngblood turns Combat over to them. Despite protests from the other members of the team Badrock agrees to the deal. Meanwhile Dutch and Marla go to his cabin where they are found by Knightsabre who agrees to help them find out who really killed Robert Thomas.
